As we have mentioned in our previous article about stationary bike benefits , one of the key benefits with the stationary bikes is their versatility. They area truly accessible to just about anyone with a little bit of space in their home! With that being said, today we will discuss the indoor cycling bikes, which is a type of stationary bike for mostly household use.
The indoor cycling bikes have become even more affordable in the recent years so that they can be an excellent and accessible addition to your home sports equipment. Not to mention, they are designed to be rather compact in size so that they can fit small to medium-sized apartments with relative ease.
In this article, we will discuss three of our product recommendations for indoor cycling bikes, which are intended for especially beginners. However, they can also be used by even the most veteran home fitness enthusiasts with their versatility.
Without further ado, in no particular order let us begin with the first one.
Best High-End Indoor Cycling Bikes
Although we said in no particular order, it’s hard to argue that the Keiser brand is not synonymous with quality in the world of stationary bikes. If someone were to compare Keiser as being the Rolls Royce of indoor cycling bikes, they wouldn’t be wrong. The Keiser M3i is their latest and best model building on the success of the Keiser M3 and M3 Plus, its predecessors.
The M3 itself is an almost perfect indoor cycling bike, with the only major downside being the non-adjustable handlebar. That issue is tackled with the M3 Plus model, which is also retained in the M3i. M3i improved both models with the adjustment pole, which now has pre-set holes for an easier adjustment.
However, the key upgrade is the inclusion of smart home technology which is in-demand today, and the M3i can connect with your smartphone with a free app and Bluetooth technology. The app can then record your workout results and do a useful analysis.
The downside of the Keiser M3i? Simply the price tag. It is fairly expensive, although it is definitely worth every penny.
Best Overall Indoor Cycle Bike
Although the Sunny Health & Fitness Indoor Cycle Trainer is not a premium, high-end cycle like the Keiser M3i, Spinner Sprint and NXT, or Diamondback Fitness 510Ic, it is still a very decent choice for indoor cycling bikes, especially for its price tag.
The Sunny Health & Fitness model can offer similar training settings to previously mentioned models. It’s very durable and sturdy, so you can put it on challenging routines. Don’t be afraid to really kick your workout into high gear on this bike.
The downside? There’s no console, so you can’t monitor or record your activity. There are no elbow rests, which can be a downside.
However, it is an overall very decent indoor cycling bike. Most people won’t need a console for home sports activity.
Best-On-A-Budget Indoor Cycle Bike
There are three key highlights to the Exerpeutic Folding Magnetic Bike with Pulse. The first one is obviously the affordability, the next two, as the name suggests, is ‘folding’, and ‘pulse’.
The Exerpeutic Folding Magnetic Bike can monitor your heart rate (pulse) with sensors on the handlebars. This is a really nice feature to have on a home bike. For the price, this is a really great feature. The bike also comes with an LCD.
The folding feature can be helpful for people with limited storage space. You can easily fold up the indoor cycle bike and store it.
